BELMOND TRAIN TO COURCHEVEL
The fairy-tale magic of Courchevel makes it one of our favourite ski resorts. And we are so excited that the journey there is now as magical as the destination itself. Boarding the Belmond Venice Simplon-Orient-Express in Paris is like stepping back into the golden age of rail travel; every detail, from the art deco décor to the seasonal food, is exquisite. Waking up onboard to see The Alps outside our cabin window was wondrous. From Moûtiers, the journey to Courchevel takes us further into this snow-filled wonderland. The 3 Valleys are best explored on the slopes, but viewed from a helicopter flight with 360-degree panoramic views it truly took our breath away. After all the fresh mountain air, we loved La Mangeoire for dinner and a nightcap.
